This is because there is a silent and super efficient source system that – both in new construction and for making existing buildings more sustainable – can be perfectly combined with a water / water heat pump from NIBE: PVT heat pump panels from Triple Solar.

PVT panels are fitted with PV cells on the front that convert sunlight into electricity. The back of the panels is formed by a thermal exchanger that extracts heat from the ambient air. This makes optimum use of sunlight, daylight and outside air. The heat is transported to the heat pump via brine (glycol) for the supply of central heating heating and hot tap water. Because the PVT panels are not insulated at the back, they can extract maximum heat from the environment, even when the sun is not shining. As a result, the panels also function at night and in winter as a source for a water / water heat pump from NIBE. The PV cells at the front generate enough electricity to cover the energy consumption of the heat pump. To supplement the electrical power, additional PV panels can be installed with exactly the same appearance as the PVT panels. This creates an aesthetically pleasing total solution.
