What is a thermal battery?
A thermal battery, also known as heat storage or thermal energy storage, replaces a traditional hot water cylinder. Unlike electrical batteries, it uses phase change material (PCM) to store heat instead of electricity This stored heat can be used later to produce hot water instantly. Because there is no stored hot water, heat loss is significantly reduced. What sets our system apart is its efficient integration with the PVT heat pump.
Key benefits
High efficiency
Stores and releases heat efficiently with minimal energy loss.
Low-maintenance
No complex or wear-sensitive components.
Legionella-free
No stored water means no risk of legionella.
Fast and efficient
High heat absorption and release with minimal energy loss.
Space-saving
Up to four times smaller than the cylinder it replaces.
10-year warranty
Reliable performance with long-term peace of mind.
How the thermal battery works
A thermal battery stores heat for later use. Instead of electricity, it stores heat, which can be used whenever needed – for example, to provide hot water.
The right size for every household
The thermal battery is available in three sizes, depending on your hot water needs.
*Calculated based on standard assumptions: hot water cylinder at 55°C, cold water at 10°C, 80% usable volume.
