Amsterdam, May 2022 – Triple Solar wins the VSK audience award with its new lightweight PVT heat pump. The public overwhelmingly chose the silent and compact propane PVT heat pump that was specially developed for the Triple Solar PVT heat pump panels.
Triple Solar sees opportunities for its PVT heat pump in new construction, but especially in the existing buildings as a hybrid application. CEO and founder Cees Mager: ‘Often there is already a combi gasboiler, our compact heat pump can easily be mount next to it by an installer. This way you can save gas step by step. Anyone who wants to make a older house from the 1980s completely gas-free in one go will face a high price tag. Mager: “With our heat pump you can save as much as 80 percent on your gas bill for a modest investment. You only need a little gas for peak heating.
The PVT heat pump has no outdoor unit. The indoor unit produces only 40 decibels, equivalent to a modern refrigerator. Cees Mager: ‘The second innovation is that by using propane as a refrigerant, an heating (inlet) temperature of more than 70˚ C can be made.’
The VSK jury says the following about the Triple Solar PVT heat pump on the VSK website: “A new compact application that is widely and modularly applicable: from apartment in a new building to a detached existing home. The fact that the technology can also be used for intermediate steps (hybrid) and that there is also the option of cooling for new builds, is seen as an advantage by the judges. The technology also tackles an important consequence of the classic air/water set-up: the outdoor unit. The judges see the PVT panel as a source of sustainable technology that will remain in the energy transition. Excellent product development”.
Triple Solar congratulates the other winners at the VSK fair: Ubbink Netherlands, Itho Daalderop & Zehnder Group Nederland B.V.
The Triple Solar PVT heat pump is developed in cooperation with Metro Therm, a partner of Nathan.
