Challenges

New build requires flexible solutions. The choice for a heating system often depends on the municipality where the new build will be located or on on-site requirements. Dense urban construction requires different solutions than the spacious layout of the countryside.

What are the possibilities

Apart from the many brands and suppliers, the choices for the builders are limited. If there are no imposed restrictions, it basically comes down to the following choices:

For a building block

  • Connect to a heat network
  • Common heat pump with ATES, plus Triple Solar PVT heat pump panels for regeneration
  • Common heat pump with Triple Solar PVT heat pump panels
  • Individual heat pump per home with a bottom loop (geothermal heat)
  • Individual heat pump per home with Triple Solar PVT heat pump panels
  • Individual air/water heat pump per home with outdoor unit

For an individual home

  • Individual heat pump with Triple Solar PVT heat pump panels
  • Individual heat pump with a bottom loop (geothermal heat)
  • Individual air/water heat pump with outdoor unit

What the builder wants

The lowest investment and maintenance costs, plus follow-up services with the lowest risk.

Why is Triple SolarĀ® interesting:

  • Triple Solar PVT panels are energy efficient. The high SPF as stated in the declaration of equivalence. SPF heating up to 5.6.
  • Easy to plan in the building process: namely when the roof is ready.
  • Fewer PV panels required to achieve an energy neutral building.
  • Aesthetically attractive for the architect and owner of the building.

The architect

For the architect it is attractive if the building is tightly finished with beautiful PVT heat pump panels, instead of being marred by a technical installation on the roof (read: outdoor unit of an air/water heat pump).

Sleek finish

Above an example of a building block with Triple Solar PVT heat pump panels in the new residential area De Draai in Heerhugowaard, The Netherlands. The houses in the middle carry each 10 PVT heat pump solar panels, supplemented with 2 PV solar panels. For a sleek finish, aluminium cover caps are mounted over the pipework.
