53 All-Electric Homes in Rijssen for De Goede Woning
De Goede Woning Makes 53 Existing Homes in Rijssen Gas-Free with Triple Solar
In Rijssen, housing association De Goede Woning—together with contractor Vastbouw—is carrying out large-scale maintenance on a total of 227 homes, phased between 2022 and 2025.
In the final phase, a strategic decision was made to fully convert 53 of these homes to gas-free living, integrating Triple Solar’s technology. As a result, part of this residential area is now fully all-electric and ready for the future.
PVT as the Finishing Touch
“The goal of this project is to gradually prepare our housing stock for climate targets: a 95% reduction in CO₂ emissions by 2050,” De Goede Woning explains. “We started by upgrading insulation levels to make the homes ready for a gas-free transition.”
In the final phase, an additional step was taken by equipping a selection of homes with PVT panels, which generate both electricity and heat. This creates a quieter, more efficient, and more sustainable energy system.
The Approach
The PVT systems were installed by Van Dam Groep, with each home equipped with 8 PVT panels. These panels serve as the primary source for both space heating and domestic hot water.
In parallel, the homes underwent further upgrades, including:
Improved insulation
Masonry and roof repairs
Installation of heat recovery ventilation systems (HRV)
New radiators
Results: Extended Lifespan and Enhanced Comfort
Following renovation, the homes now achieve at least energy label A+ (corner houses) or A++ (mid-terrace homes). Their lifespan has been extended by at least 20 years, while residents benefit from increased comfort and lower energy costs.
Building a Sustainable Future Together
By the end of 2024, all 53 PVT-equipped homes were completed—marking a major step toward a fully gas-free neighborhood.
This project demonstrates how effective collaboration and smart technical choices can accelerate the energy transition—making homes not only more efficient, but also future-proof for generations to come.
