The residents of a corner house wanted to use their roof renovation to make the home more sustainable. They therefore opted for the Triple Solar Sandwich roof. This roof is a source for the heat pump and is an insulated roof covering in one. In addition, she also wanted to generate solar energy. The major challenge of this project was in the connection to the adjacent home. Since this house is part of a row, a neat finish is crucial.
We have installed a sandwich roof on this property. The connection to the other home is neatly finished with set pieces. Finally, we have installed “floating” PV panels on these panels that provide the home with solar energy.
This project again showed that a home does not have to be new to make it more sustainable: this 70s home can also continue without gas!
